Match Report |
After last week's disappointing performance, Panorama bounced back with a great and convincing win against Warriors. Robson started the team with a 4-5-1, with Lindsay up front and 5 midfielders behind him. From the start Warriors suffered Panorama's high pressing and better physicality, and couldn't find a way through Panorama's back four. The first goal was only a matter of time, and after Olgiati took advantage of a mistake by the keeper and their last defender, Lindsay converted the shot/pass after a bad clearance by Warriors' defender. Soon after Dixon scored for the 3rd game in a row with a great volley just inside the area. Warriors eventually lost some of their composure, and tried to involved Panorama's players in pointless bickering, especially after elbowing the poor Gerrard while the referee was distracted. Even in 10 vs 11 (with Bailey receiving a sin-bin yellow card), Panorama never lost track of the game. Warriors had a great chance to score and get back in the game via a dodgy penalty, but Inward provided a moment of magic with a great save that denied the consolation goal. Eventually Panorama controlled the game, and won 2-0, a result that made coach Robson happy before the big match against Lenesia next week. Some stats from the game:
