Match Report While somewhere in North England a British team comprehensively destroyed an arrogant Spanish team, on this side of the world, in the first edition of the league supercup between the two teams that dominated the last season (Warriors, winning league and cup in Div 1, and Panorama , doing the same in Div 2), another miracle happened.

Panorama played the mighty Warriors FC on their home ground, the beautiful Discovery Soccer Park, and instead of simply getting destroyed just like Warriors probably imagined at the start of the game, they provided another fairytale story to add to coach Kelly's long list of achievement with this team.

Kelly decided to start two new players in the starting 11, Lindsay and Gerrard, knowing that with a bench full of options rotating would come into play in this first pre-season game. With a solid 4-4-2 Panorama started strong, by letting play Warriors in their half and countering on any opposition's mistake.

Warriors, not used at all to being attacked in their own half, struggled to find any sort of rhythm, and started making mistakes in the back. Every time a Warriors player had the ball, at least 2-3 Panorama players were attacking the spaces, starving the Warriors' forwards from any chances.

Eventually they got punished and Panorama scored the 1-0 after Lindsay cooly slotted a perfect pass by Benites.

Panorama kept pressing high, but maintaining the positions and covering every possible space. There was a lot of works on the wings, but Lewis / Olgiati and Jeanes / Benites didn't let their attention slip for a second in a very difensive display, while still managing to counter attack when the ball returned to Panorama.
Warriors couldn't even cope with the strength displayed in the middle, with the unusual pairing of Gerrard / Robson just behind Almeida / Dixon taking care of business.

Warriors eventually scored the 1-1 from probably the only defensive mistake in the first half, but Panorama didn't let this going to their heads, instead they regrouped and refocus on the task ahead.

In the second half, Kelly reintroduced Stoychev, after a very long absence due to his career-ending injury from last year (the last game he played was over a year ago in a 3-3 draw with Randburg), and asked to team to push harder, by adding Goncalves and DeLeo in the mix.

Panorama started a period of domination, and scored 3 goals in the space on 15 minutes. Almeida lobbed the keeper  for the 2-1, then Benites tapped in for the 3-1 and then an own goal from Olgiati's cross made it 4-1.

A desperate and frustrated Warriors tried to push to save face, and eventually they managed to score 2 goals and miss a penalty (saved by an injured Inward, who heroically stayed on the field after being foudled in order to stop the penalty), but it was too little too late.

At the final whistle Panorama could celebrate a glorious win against the best team in the league, and a Supercup win for the first time in history, the 10th trophy for Kelly's team since 2012!
