Match Report |
Panorama came from behind once again to savage a precious draw away in a very difficult game that teste the character of the players. Without Veldon, Chrichton, Robson and Kelly, the replacement coach for the night Robson decided to start with the trusted 4-5-1, with De Toit filling on the left back and Livesey deployed on the right. For the second successive game Miles was moved up front, in the solitary striker's position. The game started well but on a heavy pitch (and with some questionable decisions by the referee), Maritimo pushed and had more chances that Panorama. The goal in the first half came from a freekick (from a non-existent fould outside the area) that found the lower opposite corner for the 1-0. Panorama came close few times, but the last touch betrayed Harris and Mathebula. In the second half Panorama pushed hard trying to not stop the amazing run of matches without defeats (25 at the end of the night), but the game got very confused. Maritimo, playing a high line, simply decided to sit back and rely on long ball, while Panorama tried to push the ball wide, were Olgiati and Mathebula (playing sometimes on the some side of the field) tried to introduce some urgency into the game. The goal came from one of the few occasions were Panorama kept and played the ball. After some passing in the midfield Olgiati got the ball, controlled it and found Miles, who managed to escape the marker and smash it from the left angle for the 1-1. There was time for more drama, when Mac Gregor got a second yellow card for a reaction after once again the referee made a bad call. But Maritimo didn't have enough firepower to score another one, and Panorama took home an important 1-1. |
