Match Report |
After last week demolishing of Edenvale, Panorama ventured to the East Rand to play them again and try to keep up with Lenesia before the big clash next week. Due to the usual amount on injuries, Kelly decided to return to a 4-4-2 formation with Lewis and De Leo up front, with a solid back four and most of the usual midfield. From the start, on a small field, Panorama dominated the game, pressing Edenvale and taking advantage of their superiod speed and passing skils to play around a static defense. The deadlock was broken by Smith, scoring his first goal for Panorama after tapping in from a good save by the keepe from an Olgiati's shot. The combination of speed and power in the front proved too much for Edenvale, and soon Panorama, just like a week ago, found their goals in quick succession. Olgiati scored the 2-0 with a header from Smith's blocked shot (and few minutes later hit the post with a strong header), and then Bailey continued his excellent goal scoring form with another powerful shot from 30 meters that the keeper could only see flying past. Wills took care of the 4-0 with a tap-in from an Olgiati's pass that concluded the first half. In the second half Edenvale played a much better football, and with Panorama maybe relaxing too much, they scored the 4-1. Panorama played attractive football, engaging all the players, but couldn't get close to score until De Leo's shot was saved by the keeper only to end up on Olgiati's left foot for the 5-1. Once again Edenvale regained some sort of compusure and found the second goal, but after a good move by Harris and Olgiati on the right, Almeida scored with a precise shot just outside the area for the final 6-2. Overall it was another strong performance by Panorama, just before the big match against Lenesia next week! |
