After two consecutive draws, Kelly started Panorama with the usual 4-4-2, trusting Dixon and Almeida in the center of the midfield, and re-introducing Bailey in the squad in the back four. With Meroni injured, Atkinson took the right back role, a return to his original position when he was younger. From the start Panorama pressed high, taking advantage of a disjointed Randfontein. The first real chance ended up with a goal: Dixon, in another dominating performance since Kelly decided it to move in the midfield, found Olgiati with a delicious pass over the defence. Olgiati controlled with the right before beating the keeper with the left. Few minutes later it was Olgiati, from a pass by De Leo that hit the first post of the night with another tight left shot from just inside the area. Incredibly, Randfontein scored against the run of play when a corner was gifted by Atkinson and then the following cross wasn't dealt properly and hit Atkinson (again) for the 1-1. Panorama never looked like they would lose the game, and after De Leo and Bailey hit the bar, finally the found the 2-1 with Dixon, once again hitting the ball from 30 years and not burning a hole through the goalkeeper's gloves. In the second half Panorama shifted to a higher gear and played some of the best football of the season. Wills scored the 3-1 with a tapin after Miles' shot was saved (coming after another great combination on the right), and then, on another counter attack, Dixon found a running Smith who scored with a tight shot from the right. A free kick from 25 years was smashed into the top of the net by Dixon (the keeper didn't even try to save the shot), and, in the last minute, an excellent run by Lewis was converted by Olgiati. Overall a very good performance for Panorama! |
