Match Report Panorama beat Maritimo 3-1 to qualify for the semifinal of the Summer League Cup.

With Almeida injured and Veldon unavailable at the start, Panorama re-introduced Mac Gregor in front of the defense, with De Toit assisting Harris in the middle. Kelly and Olgiati started on the wings, while the back four was formed by the usual combination of Pereira, Morris, Robson and Chrichton.

After some early exchange Panorama was the team that had the best chances, with Thornton, who couldn't header a cross from Olgiati, and Harris, always ready to try from the distance. it was the introduction of Veldon after 20 minutes that saw Panorama break the deadlock. Kelly played to Olgiati, who in turn managed to send a speculative cross from the left outside the area, where the ball was controlled by Veldon who found the only angle where the keeper couldn't get.

Panorama kept attacking, with Thornton dropping in the midfield allowing Harris, Olgiati and Veldon to run on the long balls. And after few attempts, the strategy worked: a long ball played by the keeper was flicked by Thornton over the line, Olgiati, cutting inside, had time to control, resist a tackle, a beat the keeper for the 2-0.
Soon after Kelly was unlucky and hit the post from oustide the area.

Maritimo couldn't play their usual game from the back, since Panorama attacked their back four with ferocity. Harris was close on scoring the 3-0 from a free kick from 25 meters, but Maritimo's keeper produced a stunning save to deny the goal.

In the second half Kelly made some substituions but the story was the same: Panorama was too quick in counter attacking, and after Harris was fouled just outside the area, Thornton unleashed a powerful free kick that almost broke the keeper's hands, for the 3-0.

With the results set, Panorama relaxed a little too much and let Maritimo score their first goal with a long range free kick from 25 meters that wasn't properly dealt by the wall. But it was too little, too late, and Panorama .

With a 22 game streak without losing, a place at the top of the league after half of the season gone, and another semifinal to play, Panorama should be happy the way they started 2014!
