Match Report Panorama's amazing streak ended up in the quarter finals of the cup in an exciting match that unfortunately saw Joburg Buffers come out victorious.

As usual Panorama suffered the week break, and started slow in the 4-4-2 formation that Kelly put on the field (for once the bench was full of healthy players) and struggle to settle for the first 20 minutes. The dreadlock was broken when a back pass by Stoychev to Jeanes wasn't dealt properly and Buffers managed to score in an empty net.

But this was the only chance that Buffers had for most of the first half, and Panorama found their groove back and starting playing in that spectacular way that brought back trophies in the past year. Unfortunately what was missing was the goal, and not for lack of efforts. Bezuidenhout couldn't connect properly with a cross, and Almeida almost scored directly from a corner. Lewis had a chance by deflecting with his heel a shot from outside the area, but once again luck and some crazy defending protected Buffer's goal.

In the second half Kelly started rotating his changes in order to keep the team fresh, with De Leo, Miles, De Toit and Almeida taking place in the field to keep the pressure on. After few more chances that only required a matter of centimeters to be converted in goals, finally Panorama scored when Almeida delivered a beautiful cross that was hit with a diving header by the Thornton, who in 2017 seemed to have rolled back the years.

Buffers lost confidence and Panorama went for the kill, and from an intelligent free kick taken by Harris, Bezuidenhout was the quickest to react and score from a tight angle for the 2-1 with only few minutes to go.

Unfortunately Buffers found the 2-2 from a free kick, saved by Jeanes but pouched by their little striker.

In the extra times Panorama kept the pressure, and Robson hit the post with a header from a corner. Just when penalties where about to happen, from yet another free kick Buffers found the 3-2 (with probably the help of a foul on the keeper that the referee didn't see)..

It was a bitter way to end up the summer season, but Kelly's boys should be proud to have become one of the best teams of the league, conquering the double in the Winter league and finishing in the top 3 in the hard summer league.
