Panorama started the second round of a strange league with a convincing 4-0 victory at home against Randburg (already beaten away 7-0 2 months ago). The match was basically over within 30 minutes. The first goal came from a superb corner taken by Almeida, that landed on Olgiati's head, who, completely unmarked, just had to place the ball in the net. 10 minutes later once again Panorama scored, this time after Bezuidenhout won a ball in a counter attack and found Thornton in the middle of area, for an easy tap in. Olgiati again scored the 3-0 from an intelligent pass by Thornton. Miles dummied and the ball landed on Olgiati's feet who, after controlling it, managed to find a tight angle between keeper and post. In the second half coach kelly kept changing players in order to try different options. The back four had little trouble and Randburg suffered the phisicality of Dixon, Robson, Wills and Kelly (and then De Toit and De Leo). The final 4-0 was sealed by Bezuidenhout, lobbing the keeper from a long kick by Jeanes, badly misjudged by the Randburg's defense. Chances landed at the feet of Miles, Almeida and Thornton, but was Olgiati who had the biggest chance to score his hat trick when, after controlling a ball from a long ball, couldn't find the right angle and missed the target. Unfortunately Dixon injured his ankle in the last 10 minutes, and he was forced out. But Randburg could not exploit Panorama'a defense and the final score stayed 4-0 |
