Another incredibly performance by Panorama! After winning 7-0 last week, they won again, with exactly the same score, against old rivals Randburg. Before there was time to warm up, Panorama was already 1-0 up. After taking the kick off, Thornton passed the ball to Wills, who passed to Olgiati, and then back to Thornton who found the running Rushin who scored with a precise curled effort. Randburg had very little to offer, and Panorama took advantage with chances after chances. Bezuidenhout was unlucky in not converting a close header, but Dixon found the 2-0 with another free kick from well outside the area that gave no chance to the keeper. At the end of the first half Panorama found the 3-0 with a fantastic long cross from Harris that Thornton converted with a 15 meters effort. Coach Kelly asked the team to have no forgiveness in the second half, and Panorama pushed until the found the 4th (Olgiati, beating the keeper outside the area from an assist by Thornton) and the 5th (Olgiati again from a precise pass by Lewis, showing that you can finish Comrades and still play football 72 hours later) . Randburg, down 5-0, completely gave up. Thornton found the 6-0 after good work from Bezuidenhout (who tried the whole evening to score but wasn't lucky enough) and then Dixon decided to score his second (and showing that defenders can score too!) with a tap-in after yet another mistake from the Randburg defense. Overall it was another solid performance by Panorama, who sorted the goal difference for the year... |
