Panorama's nightmarish 2024 season continued with another defeat, exacerbated by a roster depleted by injuries.

From the outset, the odds were stacked against them. Both Olgiati and Lindsay took to the field despite carrying injuries, severely limiting their effectiveness. Almeida and Jansen returned to the lineup, but both clearly lacked the match fitness needed to perform at their best. With Miles isolated up front and Peters forced off with an injury just 20 minutes in, Panorama was in for a tough battle.

Yet, despite these challenges, Panorama managed to hold their own against Florida, with only two soft goals separating the teams at halftime.

In the second half, after conceding another soft goal, Panorama—now with nothing to lose—found an unexpected surge of energy. Lindsay played a pivotal role, first setting up Miles for a close-range finish to make it 1-3, and then threading a clever pass to Olgiati, who calmly slotted home to reduce the deficit to 2-3.

But just as Panorama seemed to be clawing their way back, they faltered once more. Florida capitalized on the gaps in Panorama's defense, particularly on the flanks where Ho Lam and Neale struggled due to a lack of cover, and netted two quick goals to extinguish any hope of a comeback. Despite their defensive frailties, the Neale-Olgiati partnership was a rare bright spot, consistently creating the team's best attacking opportunities.

Olgiati, who had already come close with a powerful volley that rattled the crossbar, provided a moment of brilliance late in the game. He connected with yet another Lindsay assist to unleash a stunning Zidane-esque volley from outside the box, nestling the ball into the bottom corner—a goal worthy of any highlight reel. Unfortunately, there was little time to celebrate as Florida quickly responded with two more goals, sealing a 7-3 defeat.

Despite the result, Panorama's players showed immense determination. Fielding a squad that was barely half-fit, they faced an uphill battle but fought with heart and tenacity throughout.
