Match Report Panorama continued the good start of the Winter League with another win against Randburg.

With some injuries and last minute defection,  Panorama was still able to field a strong team. Smith unfortunately got injured within 15 minutes, but after some shifting Panorama was able to regain control of the game. Randburg struggled to cope with Panorama's discipline and grittiness of the perfect back 4, and the first goal was a perfect example of it. After enduring some pressure on the wings, the ball was won by Olgiati and quickly played across the midfield, to land at Goncalves' feet, who, in turn, unleashed Mdunge on the left who, after getting rid of his marker, scored the 1-0 from a tight angle.
Randburg dfdn't have a chance to react and Panorama was already 2 goals up. Olgiati played a through ball for Almeida, who, after a quick sprint, passed it for the unmarked Swanepoel for the 2-0. There was some sort of reacion by Randburg when Panorama played 9 vs 11 for 10 minutes, with both O'Sullivan and Neale receiving dodgy yellow cards.

In the second half Randurg tried to find a way back, but man-of-the-matchMushore provided the perfect performance between the posts, stopping anything coming his way.. It was Munge again to score the 3-0 after another percussion on the left. Evenutally Randburg managed to score the 3-1, before starting a pointless fight with the Panorama bench that had the game suspended for 15 minutes.

After calming down the teams, and after restaring the game 10 vs 10 (Bailey was at the receiving end of a card), Panorama held well and ended up scoring the 4-1 with Miles from a penalty.

It was another great team performance for the team.

Some stats from the game:

  • Mdunge crazy full debut year moves him already in the 16th place for goals scored (16 in 24 games), and 15th in assists (14)
  • Miles' 21st goal takes him level with old legend Wayne Wills
  • Bailey's 9th career yellow card moves him on the podium, behind Robson (18) and Veldon (13)
