Match Report Panorama returned to action in 2023 and started in the most dominating way possible, with a win against Crusaders by 10 goals to 2.

With a new records for players available (20, 9 on the bench), Olgiati had plenty of options during the game. Panorama started with a 4-5-1 (that turned soon into a 4-3-3) and from the start Crusaders didn't know what hit them. With the portoguese due of Almeida and Goncalves supported by Bailey, Panorama dominated the midfield and found the 1-0 quite early thank to the first goal by Goncalves (who would end up scoring 3) from a pass by Lindsay in the area.

5 minutes it was already 2-0 with Olgiati heading a ball from Inward to Lindsay who also opened his account for 2023.

Crusaders fought back and scored a goal, but a free kick by Bailey, a devastating  trademark shot by Mdunge and a cheeky free kick by Goncalves set the score to 5-2 before half time (Crusaders scored again from a header).

In the second half Olgiati continued the plethora or changes, and all the Pana players stepped up, scoring 5 more unanwswered goals. Ian and Goncalves added to their stats (assisted by Liu), and Smith, returning from a length injury scored on his return, thank to a fantastic pass by Egbers., with De Klerk also taking advantage by scoring 2 more.

Panorama continued their dominance of the league, with only Randburg currently at the top with them (with one more game played). With a team full of dedicated players, the chances for promotions this year are quite high!

Some stats from the night:

  • This was the first win om 6 attempts against Crusaders (1 win, 4 defeats).
  • In his 6 games played so far in the season, Lindaty scored 9 and provided 6 assists, moving him up to 7th in the overall goals (passing Lewis) and 8th in the overal assists table (just one behind Lewis)

  • Goncalves' 3 goals for Panorama move him into the 14th places, at par with Miles and 1 above Swanepoel.
