Match Report Panorama finally moved out from the last spot in the table with an important win against Happy Deals. The major difference between this and the last 4 games (and goin back, since February in the Summer League) was that for once they had a long enough bench able to provide some quality once the starting eleven started to fizzle out because of tiredness. With Panorama Legend Robson in stands, coming from the UK, it was a good chance to finally get some points.

The new central pairing of Collison and Benites was outstanding, providing a barrier for the many long effort attempted by Happy Deals, while Neale and Franz engaged against the quick wing backs and won (most of the times) the battles. Inward was the usual rock in the back, commanding the defence and taking care of the attempts that he could stop.

The 5 in the midfield played as a unit, attacking early Happy Deals, a team that likes to play from the back. The returning Davidson and Bailey run everywhere to close on those gaps, while Liu and Lindsay were involved in the counter attacks. Olgiat was the solitary man in the front, with his only job to open up spaces for the midfield.

But if there was an outstanding player today that was Swanepoel. In a new, free, role between attack and midfield, Swanepoel exceeded expectations and won early tackls and, most important, scored the 3 goals that turned the result away. After taking advantage of a keeper playing way too far from the line, he scored the first with a great shot from distance. The 2-1 was scored in the second half when he won the ball, entered the area and score with a precise left shot and the 3-1 was a header from a beatiful cross by another returning player (that hasn't played since 2021), Kennedy.

Everyone involved later (Miles, Goncalves, Ho Lam and Brown) provided what was needed, a constant threat that pinned Happy Deals down. Eventually Happy Deals scored a penalty in the last minute before the game was over, but it was too little, too late for them and Panorama won their first game of the season.
