Match Report Panorama continued the good state of form with another solid win, once again Old Parks. Playing the round that was initially postponed in December due to the last COVID scare, Panorama started with the very attacking minded 3-5-2 that worked so well only 2 weeks ago.

From the start there was only a team on the field. With the trio in the back (Franz, Smith and Collison) controlling the game from the back and spreading it wide, Panorama had few chances within the first 10 minutes, but neither Swnaepoel or Brown took advatage. Eventually it was the returning Almeida, playing his first game in a month, that took control of a ball by Brown and cheekiyl chipped the keeper.

After missing few chances, Old Parks found an unexpected goal with a cross / shot that surprised Inward. But soon after Panorama launched an assault in their best period of the game. De Klers scored the 2-1 with a touch from inside the area, and Olgiati, having missed a one-on-one earlier, found the next with a precise shot from Goncalves' beautiful pass. Swanepeol tried to get into some goal scoring action but he will be remember for a missed bicycle kick that almost took him out on landing.

In the second half Olgiati mixed and matched players, testing new solutions, and soon two more goals were added to final score, both by man-of-the-match Brown, first from a long (LONG) kick by Inward, and then from a cross by Olgiati.

The rest of the game was a scruffy affair, Old Parks had few more chances to score, but Inward took care of it.

Some stats from the game:

  • This was the 14th game between the two sides. 9 played under OP midrand, 3 under Old Parks FC. Panorama leads with 11 win in 13 games (last defeat in 2018)
  • Clive Smith played his 100th game for the team, joining an exclusive club of only 11 other players
  • Almeida scored his 26th goal, keeping him in the top 10
