Match Report |
Panorama were unlucky to lose at home against Crusaders after failing to finish off at least 5/6 clear chances. With the usual 4-5-1 deployed by Olgiati, with some forced changes within the formation due to the unusual amount of injured of missing players (Brown was forced to play left back while Rinshaw started up front), Panorama controlled the game from the start, hitting the bar with Davidson within the first 10 minutes. It was a sign of things to come when, in the space of 20 minutes, they missed good chances few feet from the goals with misplaced headers and some weak shots in front of the keeper. Panorama dominated in the midfeld, with Lindsay and Bailey constantly combining on the right, and Imbriolo taking care of the dirt work in the middle. But as the minutes passed, Panorama got more and more frustrated with the score staying at 0-0. Eventually Crusaders found the breakthrough via a penalty after Smith's challenge. Panorama bounced back straight away. Olgiati got fouled just inside the opposition's half, and Lindsay's long free kick was precisely hit by Imbriolo for the 1-1. Unfortunately with the lack of a long bench Panorama's players started to get tired, and Crusaders took control. Panorama still had few more chances (with headers by Rinshaw and Olgiati - hitting the bar) but once again Crusaders hit with a long shot that gave little chance to Inward, until them impeccable. Overall a hard defeat to swallow. With the team approaching a skeleton crew, it will be probably time to recruit new players for winter league... Some stats from the game:
