Match Report |
On a tough night, with few players available due to different reasons, Panorama managed to draw 1-1 against a resurgent Bosmont Old Boys. With only 12 players on the team sheet (before Goncalves showed up), Olgiati played with the usual Panorama officialm formation: 4-5-1. Bosmont dominated the early exchanged, but their possession game was easily managed by a very compact and controlled performance by the Panorama players. Bailey and Imbriolo stopped most of the attacking effort by Bosmont, and Lindsay and later Goncalves had a field day againt their markers. The only thing missing in the first half was a goal. Garrard twice was close to score from corners, and Lindsay got close towards the end but his shot from close distance touched the oustide of the post. Up front Olgiati couldn't provide the necessary speed so few chances were missed as well. With injuries piling up (Almeida, Olgiati, and a very tired Brown, plus Inward, still recovering from some african sickness), Panorama struggle a bit and Bosmont managed to score the 1-0 with a shot oustide the area. In the second half Panorama continued their waiting game, absorbing BOB's passing style and then launch quick counter attacks. From a long kick by Inward, touched by Olgiati, Miles, who just came in in the second half, managed to run faster than his marker and unleash a piledriver that left the keeper flabbergasted for the 1-1. Soon after a fight broke and the game was called off with the score set at 1-1 when some BOB player tried to pick up a fight with the trio of Smith (now the official new team captain), Garrard and Inward. Eventually it all ended up in a shouring content, because down deep inside he knew he would have died in Smith or Garrard punched him, or Inward bit him. Some stats from the game:
