Match Report |
Panorama stopped Florida's dreams of catching up with SC Mzansi in a fantastic display where they could have taken the whole 3 points. Florida Albion, expecting to face a team with little chance to get points, started slowly, and Panorama dominated the early exchanges with a high pressing line, forcing Florida to commit errors and relying on the long balls. When Atkinson was hacked in the area, Panorama had a chance to score. Atkinson failed to convert the penalty but Bezuidenhout was the quickest to react and convert for the 1-0 (and the quickest to leave the field, injured in the same action). Florida tried to get back into the game and managed to find the 1-1 10 minutes before the end of the first half. The only other good chance Panorama had was with Robson, who ended up short of centimeters after a 60 meters coast-to-coast run with the ball. Jeanes was involved in few great saves to help Panorama keep their cool with a 1-1 at half time. In the second half a nervous Florida once again allowed a penalty for a handball from a Pereira's cross. Pereira converted the penalty twice (the first time some players entered the area) to give back Panorama the lead. Florida got a red card and plenty of yellow for stupid protesting (desperation makes you do strange things), but somehow managed to find the 2-2 from yet another penalty, this time when Robson hacked their forward in the area. Panorama tried to score the winner, but in one of the last actions of the game, a combinations between Almeida, Atkinson and Olgiati freed Harris on a one on one, but he was unable to convert the winner. It was a good result for Panorama, showing that they have what it takes to face the top teams |
