Match Report |
Panorama rediscovered the form that made them champions last year and destroyed Robertsham Callies 4-0 at home, in a game dominated from start to finish. Kelly deployed a cautious 4-4-2, mirroring Robertsham wide 4-4-2, with wings playing wide in order to keep the quick Panorama wingbacks on the back foot. Robertsham strategy worked for maybe 20 minutes, until Morris, celebrating his birthday, scored from a tap-in after a corner wasn't dealt properly by the Callie's defense. Panorama strategy was much simpler: defend deep and then, as soon as the ball was won, play a quick counter attack using Olgiati on the right and Almeida / Stoychev on the left. Robertsham had no answer to it and Panorama got close twice with Wills, with two first time volley strikes from outside the area. The 2-0 was only a matter of time, and in another quick counter attack Wills found Thornton who skinned the defender with his left to then finish with his right in the opposite corner, giving no chance to the keeper. The second half was more of the same. Panorama staged waves of attacks, getting close to the 3-0 with Atkinson and Kelly. But it was Olgiati who scored the next goal, converting a volley from a great free kick taking by Dixon. There was more glory for a dominating Dixon who, after running from defense, got a through ball from Atkinson, beat the marker, and unleased a left foot that gave no chance to the keeper. A 5-0 actually happened when Harris scored from an impossible corner after an error by the Callies' defense, but the referee decided to rule against Panorama, callig from a foul on the line. It was a great performance by Panorama, winning the second game in a row in 2015 and moving up in the table! |
