Match Report |
Panorama lasted only one half against a strong Randburg team in a 3-1 defeat that concluded a very long year, started with a League win earlier in the year and finished with some strong performances after a dip during the winter season. With the notable absences of Stoychev, Veldon and Dixon, Panorama returned to the trusted 4-5-1 and for the first half played a decent football, especially on the wings. Unfortunately a silly mistake gave away the ball to a Randburg player who ended up scoring after a one on one with Jeanes. Panorama fought back, and in the space of 10 minutes they had some chances to score with Miles and Micheals. It was a shot by Miles, not controlled by the keeper, that saw Olgiati score the 1-1 on the rebound. 5 minutes later Thornton played a through ball for Olgiati who run with the ball and shot on target from the left, but the keeper produced a miracle to keep the ball away. Once again it was a mistake by the defence that saw Randburg regain the lead just before the end of the half. Panorama tried to get back in touch with the game in the second half, but the superior fitness of Randburg made it quite difficult. From a dodgy corner Robson hand balled the guy and Randburg scored the final 3-1 from a penalty. Maybe a bad way to finish a year started so well, but with a team still rebuilding, Kelly will have to find the right answers for 2015 |
