Panorama started the pre-season with a good win against Marks Park. The final score (2-1) was flattering to Marks Park, since Panorama dominated the game and had plenty of chances to score more goals. This game was a chance for coach Kelly to introduce some new blood into the team. Stoychev and WIlls got a chance to prove their worth by starting from the first minute, while also giving Atkinson the debut. After early pressure from Panorama, with good chances wasted by Olgiati, Dixon and Wills, Marks Park managed to find the net with their only chance of the game. Panorama fought back but they had to wait until Dixon's free kick surprised the keeper for the 1-1. The second half was more of the same, with Panorama pressing and finding spaces on the wings. From a corner Thornton, who moved as central back in the second half, managed to find the winning goal with a shot just outside the area. It's up now for coach Kelly to gel a team full of new players compared to only one year ago. But a win is always welcome! |
