Panorama lost at home againt Randburg in a very tight game that was resolved only by two incredible goals by the opponents. After starting with a 4-4-2, Panorama found some troubles trying to keep up with the passing and running of Randburg. They had the first chance when Olgiati could not connect from a cross, but it was Randburg who scored first, converting from a long ball probably from an offside position. Panorama reacted with shots from the distance by Veldon and Almeida, and managed finally to score when a 30 meters cross by Olgiati was headed home by Veldon. Just when the first half was about to end, Randburg managed to score from a short corner that was not dealt properly: their player got the ball just outside the area, and shot in the opposite top corner, when Jeanes had no chance. In the second half Panorama pressed to find the equalizer, but once again Randburg scored with a volley from 25 meters. The last 30 minutes were an assault on Randurg's keeper. Dixon thought he scored from a clever free kick taken very quick that chipped the keeper, just to see his goal being ruled out for inexplicable reasons. Veldon hit the post from a free kick, and Thornton couldn't convert the few chances he had. Even Kelly, after running through the middle, had a good chance with a shot from the distance, but unfortunately the keeper saved it. In the dying minutes it was Olgiati's turn to hit the post from a cross/shot, but it was not meant to be. A rare loss for Panorama, but the good fighting spirit shows that there is still a chance for a decent end of the season. |
